明天

The Chinese are by nature very optimistic and forward looking people. Why? It’s even in their language, because tomorrow is a bright day, literally, you may say, well it means that!

The word for “tomorrow” is 明天 or “mingtian” as pronounced in Mandarin hanyu pinying. The first character Ming 明 means bright and is comprised of the sun 日 on the left and 月 on the right.

The second character, tian or 天, means the sky or heavens, so now you know how great tomorrow is in Chinese!
